Description » Research study seeking to understand the effects of past and current Meth use on the brain and central nervous system. Study also seeks to understand the relationship between Meth use, HIV, and HCV infection. Includes a sub-study focusing on HCV treatment.
Criteria » Includes people with methamphetamine dependence within the last 18 months and people who have rarely or never used methamphetamine. People in either group may have had experimental use of other substances. Eligibility for the HCV treatment sub-study includes past Meth dependence and scheduled treatment for HCV at the UCSD Liver Clinic
