HNRC Investigators present at the NIMH Biotypes Meeting - 10/21/21

Several HNRC Investigators present their findings at the NIMH Biotypes of CNS complications in people living with HIV meeting held on October 21-22, 2021.

This virtual workgroup meeting brought together leading experts in the NeuroHIV field, to identify and analyze common measures, retrospectively from current studies and prospectively for future studies, by integrating elements of underlying psychopathology with currently available measures such as self-report, neuropsychological testing, neuroimaging, and plasma/Cerebrospinal fluid (CSF) biomarker analyses. These efforts, in combination with novel approaches that integrate multi-dimensional data and tools such as AI-based learning algorithms, can help the field ascertain biotypes of CNS complications in PWH based on psychopathology.
